Is Your Armour On?
Ephesians 6 is in our “Top 10 Favorite Life Verses”
Every time you feel that times are getting rough and when everything seems to just weigh you down, read these bible verses and allow them to remind you to put on The Whole Armour of God. Remember to be strong in the Lord and pray continuously…ARMOUR IN TRUTH™ everyday.
Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Belt of Truth – Start by surrounding yourself with the Truth which is the word of God. Read scripture daily to build your foundation + understanding of God.
Breastplate of Righteousness – Surround yourself with the joy of God’s love from Truth + allow his love+ grace to shine through the actions of your heart.
Gospel of Peace – Allow the Truth to guide you + bring you peace during your life’s journey. Even during the battles and shadows…God is there with you.
Shield of Faith – Know that God is with you always. We do not have to run, sometimes we have to just “stand firm” in our faith knowing that God will provide.
Helmet of Salvation – Surround your mind with God’s love + grace + free your mind from the bondage of temptations that lead to sinful thoughts + actions.
Sword of the Spirit – Allow the Holy Spirit to work through you to strengthen you and to help others. We are to fight against spirits, not flesh + blood.
